36-2xA, WX81, NTA 1936 U.S. Christmas Seals Sheet, pm S, full gum, F, MNH. Issued 1936 by the National Tuberculosis Association (NTA). Designed by Walter I. Sasse. Image of Santa with Candles. Fresh, firm paper, never folded, shipped flat.

Issued as a se-tenant pair, side by side, with alternating frame colors throughout the sheet. There are 96 regular seals (48 se-tenant pairs) and four slogan seals. Sheet of 100 (10x10), yellow, gray, red, and green. Seal size: 18x24mm, perf. 121/2. Printer's Mark: a brownish gray "S" on seal #56, and two vertical green dashes under seal #100.

Slogan Seals: the four corner seals are slogan seals, and show the double-barred cross, one or two candles, and wording as follows: Seal #1: "Tuberculosis is Preventable"; Seal #10: "Protect Your Home From Tuberculosis"; Seal #91: "Help Fight Tuberculosis"; Seal #100: "Tuberculosis is Curable".

1936 Christmas Seals were printed by four printers, Eureka "E" (WX80), Strobridge "S" (WX81), Edwards and Deutch "D" (WX81), and U.S. Printing "U" (WX81). A letter "E" "D" "S" or "U" appears on seal #56.

Christmas Seals are also known as TB Charity Seals, and are sometimes classified as Charity Seals, or Cinderella Stamps.
