Issued 1939 by the National Tuberculosis Association (NTA). Designed by Rockwell Kent. Image of Angel with halo. Slogan seals designed by Earl Hoffman. Sheet of 100 (10x10), red, ultramarine, pink, and light blue. Seal size: 171/2x23mm. The four center seals are slogan seals.
Slogan Seals: a double-barred cross in the upper left corner, "1939" in the upper right corner, and slogans as follows: Seal #45: "Health to All"; Seal #46: "Protect Your Home From Tuberculosis"; Seal #55: "Tuberculosis Preventable Curable"; Seal #56: "Holiday Greetings". Note: there is a double eye-brow on the angel on seal #76.
1939 Christmas Seals were printed by four printers, Eureka "E" (WX96), Strobridge "S" (WX97), Edwards and Deutch "D" (WX97), and U.S. Printing "U" (WX97). A letter "E" "D" "S" or "U" appears on seal #57.
