Seals designed by Katherine La Bruce Rowe. Two different seal designs of children feeding birds alternate in horizontal rows of sheet, creating se-tenant pairs.
Sheet of 100 (10x10) seals; colors: yellow, red, green, and black. Seal size: 23x16mm, perf 11. Printer's Mark: "D" located behind the boy above his foot on seal #56. Union label on margin. Perforated margin at top inscribed, "Christmas Seals Help Protect The Family Circle."
NOTE: Sheets of 1959 Christmas Seals were printed by 6 different printers. They can be identified by a tiny black E, D, F, W, R, or B on seal #56.
