The full sheet sets are relatively rare and usually not found in this pristine condition. Never folded, no perforation breaks, full rich colors. All with full undisturbed gum.
The sixth Boys Town Charity Seal was issued at Christmas in 1953. Two types were issued, with that date. The seal design was similar to the 1952 seals, but dated 1953. Boy with a smaller boy on his back. "He Ain't Heavy Father He's M" Brother." Boys Town, Nebraska, at side and bottom of seal. Multi-colored, seal size: 18x24, perf: 121/2; Sheet of 100, 10x10; Union Label: Union Label under seal 100.
Progressive Color Proofs are usually issued in sets to show colors separately and in combination. In this instance, the progression is as follows: (1) Pink, (2) Green, (3) 1+2, (4) Red, (5) 3+4, (6) Black, (7) completed sheet. The design used for the PCP sheet set was the 22.6Ax. Sheets are imperforate.
