 TB Charity Seals were first issued in Denmark by the Danish National Society against Tuberculosis in 1904. Charitable Societies in Sweden (1904) and Iceland  (1904) also issued their own TB Charity Seals. The Delaware Chapter of the American Red Cross issued a TB Charity Seal in the United States in 1907. Charitable Societies in Canada followed with local TB Seals in 1908, and the Canadian Tuberculosis Association issued a national TB Charity Seal in 1927. Since many TB Charity Seals were issued yearly, to solicit donations at Christmas, they are also known as Christmas TB Seals. Identified by Green's Catalog numbers.  TB Societies
