1938-5x, WX93a, 1938 U.S. Christmas Seals Special Deluxe Card, MNH. Issued 1938 by the National Tuberculosis Association (NTA). Colors as 38-1, on light white card, no gum, imperf. 25,000 special or Deluxe cards (also called panes) were printed and sold for 25 cents each.
The Pames are 5.5x3.5 inches in size and show the regular seal in the center, with the four portraits toward the corners in same relative positions as in regular sheets.
Lettering on card is in black, across the top; “THEY MADE LANDMARKS IN THE FIGHT AGAINST TUBERCULOSIS”, across the bottom; “BUY AND USE CHRISTMAS SEALS... ERADICATION OF TUBERCULOSIS”. Beside each portrait is a short description of each man’s contribution to the fight against tuberculosis.
