45-1x, WX124, NTA 1945 U.S. Christmas Seals Sheet, pm E, full gum, F, MNH. Issued 1945 by the National Tuberculosis Association (NTA). Designed by Park Phipps, image of a boy carrying wreath. Fresh, full, gum, never folded. Shipped flat.
Sheet of 100 (10x10), yellow, blue, black, and red. The artists name, Phipps, appears on all seals for the first time, in tiny blue capitals above the "USA", in the lower right corner of each seal. Seal size: 17x23mm. Perf. 121/2x12. Printer's Mark: "E" between the fence pickets at the lower left corner of seal #56.
Please note that this sheet comes from a wrap that states "B" Seals - Containing Tissue". I mention this because the seals have a darker hue with duller color than "S" or "D" seals. Item will be shipped with tissue.
1945 Christmas Seals were printed by four printers. The letter "E" "D" "S" or "U" appears on seal #56.
Christmas Seals are also known as TB Charity Seals, and are usually classified as Charity Seals, or Cinderella Stamps.
