Design experiment Christmas Seals, which began in 1979, are issued on a limited basis to help select the design of the following year's national issue. The nationally issued Christmas Seals from 1981 to date were selected from a previous design experiment.
Christmas Seals are also known as TB Charity Seals, and are usually classified as Charity Seals, or Cinderella Stamps.
