Issued 1940 by the National Tuberculosis Association (NTA). Designed by Felix Martini. Three children singing with three slogan seals. Sheet of 100 (10x10), yellow, blue, red, and ultramarine, green margins.
Slogan Seals: The other three seals are slogan seals, and show only one of the three children on each seal. The slogan is the same on each, "Protect Us from Tuberculosis", but the design differs: (1) seal #23 - girl; (2) seal #32 - black-haired boy with green jacket; and (3) seal #34 - red- haired child with blue jacket. These slogan seals are in a block of 6 with three normal seals. Printer's Mark: an ultramarine "S" in the yellow above the cross on seal #56.
1940 Christmas Seals were printed by four printers. The letter "E" "D" "S" or "U" appears on seal #56, with variations for "E."
This is mint, never hinged, full gum dealer stock.
