1908-2.2, WX4a, 1908 U.S. Red Cross Christmas TB Seal, Type 2, Block/4, from a booklet pane, watermarked, FV, full gum, mint, NH. Size 251/2x261/2mm, perf. 12, smooth gum. Great centering. Scan is of front of the seal.

The 1908 Christmas TB Seal was issued by the American National Red Cross. There were three types: Type 1A - square cornered frame, holly leaves printed in green, ear of '8" separate from body; Type 1B: same as 1A, but ear of '8" joined to figure; Type 2: round cornered frame, leaves printed in green with red veining. This seal is Type 2. The 1908 Christmas TB Seal was designed by Howard Pyle.

Christmas Seals are also known as TB Charity Seals, and are usually classified as Charity Seals, or Cinderella Stamps.
