How to Identify 1908 Red Cross Booklet Panes
The 1908 Red Cross Christmas Seal was designed by Howard Pyle
There were three (3) types - Type 1A, Type 1B, and Type 2. All types are distinguished by color, perforations, and frame shape around the design.
Type 1A: square cornered frame, holly leaves printed in green only, ear of 8" separate from body of figure, perf 14
Type 1B: square cornered frame, holly leaves printed in green only, ear of 8" joined to body of figure, perf 14
Type 2: round cornered frame, leaves printed in green with red veining, perf 12
